Two years ago I donated 12 inches to Locks of Love. My plan for years has been to grow it out every five years or so and then donate it. I’m in love with the thought of helping a random stranger by just getting a new hair style. I’d love to be a part of hair for Hazel, but my hair’s not long enough. I am planning on donating another 12 inches right after my senior pictures in a couple years, though. I think short hair isn’t the best haircut for me, but I’m sure there’s a cancer patient with less self-confidence that would be incredibly thankful for my hair. I did get my best friend to donate hers for hair for Hazel, and she’s doing it before school starts in a week. I’m really excited. My favorite part of humanity is hearing about people doing small, selfless things, like paying for someone else’s meal or donating hair or blood. It warms my heart to know that there really are good people in this world.
